Mad Dog Movie Reviews
Good Burger
(3 Mad Dogs)
Staring: Kel Mitchell (The Invisible Boy from Mystery Men) as Ed, Kenan Thompson (Soon to be Fat Albert) as Dexter Reed and Jan Schweiterman (umm from Warlock 3? Did anyone even see that? That had to be straight to video…right? Well anyway he was in that too) as Kurt Bozwell.
Directed by: Brian Robbins (Executive producer of Slam Ball and the “cool” kid from head of the Class)
What’s it about? Glad you asked. It’s about a neighborhood burger shack run by the fat kid from head of the class. Ed is a mindless retarded who only cares about his job at good burger but he is so clueless in life that he rarely does a good job. One day while out walking he does not look to cross a street and is nearly hit by Dexter who is driving his moms car that he took without permission, by missing ed he crashes into his teachers car and he now needs to pay for the damages on two cars.
Sounds Thrilling Doesn’t it? I’ll continue.
To get the money Dexter decides to get a job at the big chain burger place called MondoBurger that is about to open. While in training he makes too many jokes in front of the tyrannical boss Kurt and is summarily fired. Wallowing in pain over shakes at Good Burger Dexter is eventually given a job thanks to Ed.
At this point I am not going to give a further blow by blow but a quick recap of what happens.
MondoBurger opens and it nearly drives Good Burger out of business until Ed creates a sauce that is so good that people start going back to Good Burger, hell even Shaq goes their because it is so good. This pisses Kurt off, he tries to destroy Good Burger and Ed but of course they can not be stopped they are the little store that can and Ed is the lovable retard.
Yes this is a movie for kids no older than, umm let’s say 14 and anyone who enjoyed “All That” when Keenan and Kel were part of that cast. I do not fit either of those groups and yet I can not get enough of this movie. It’s funny, it’s retarded and it is perfect mindless television when you are hung-over.
