Mad Dog Movie Reviews
Miracle (2004)
(3 Mad Dogs)
Directed by: Gavin O’ Connor (He is one of the directors for Clubhouse, the baseball show for women)
Starring: Kurt Russell (As Coach Herb Brooks) and that guy who played Tag on friends (as Jim Craig)
Ok, I hope by now everyone knows that this is the movie based on the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team who beat those commie Russian bastards when the Ruskies were kings of the ice and we were the Penguins. Enter Coach Brooks, who works his team tirelessly for 7 months and put Al Michaels on the map. The thing is I don’t understand why Herb wanted to help Al out so much but the movie never goes into it. Maybe there is a deleted scene on the DVD that I will have to check out.
The movie was good, in a “Remember the Titans” kind of way, so just good enough to make you watch and just stupid enough so that you can make fun of it.
But screw the movie; this is what I really wanted to talk about. If you were set to go to the Olympics and you were American wouldn’t you be pissed that the year that you make it to the games you have to play in…America? I mean sure it’s nice to be in the Olympics (well I assume it is) but if I were to ever make it I would want to go some place cool, like I don’t know maybe Iceland. Why Iceland, well because the emails and radio commercials say its cool and I am susceptible to suggestion.
