Be Kind Rewind (2008)

Flawed, plot holes, plot points that one would think would be revisited are never touched upon again and yet I couldn't help but enjoy this film.

Danny Glover owns a video shop in a rundown New Jersey City. His building is about to be condemned so that a new development can come in so he takes off for a week to rethink his business to try and save the building and his business. While gone he leaves Mos Def in charge and on his first day promptly has all of the videos erased after Jack Black has an accident that leaves him magnetized. What do they do? Create their own versions of the movies that were destroyed, makes sense...right?

Sure the movie is about the video shop and the characters who work or hang out there but in reality it is about a community in flux and how it can be saved by working together. When it ended I was a little disapointed but I was left touched and I had a smile on my face. Just an enjoyable film if you don't let the flaws cloud the overall message so go out and enjoy it, you should not be disappointed.
