DrunkTimes Rants
I am even more embrassed to be a Staten Islander today!

Like most kids, when I grew up I played little league baseball. Until I was one of the older kids in the league I was ranked in the bottom 3 of the players on my team and I was alright with that. Sure my team wasn't alright with me striking out to end games and missing fly balls but it was great to finish a game and hit the snack stand.
However, as bad as I was I did know how to slide if only because I love to get dirty. I slid so much I ripped up pants and I am sure the grass stains I left are still deeply ingrained into the fabric of those stretchy pants. I mean, how can you not know how to slide? This should not be a learned action and yet there are some people who think it should be or else they need some money.
I know you are upset that your son was hurt and it cost a lot of money but it's a baseball game. Kids can get hurt. Hell I saw a kid get wailed in the nuts without a cup on, he was on the ground for 15 minutes crying (i wonder if he can ever have kids...hmm?) and then you hear stories about kids getting struck in the chest and dying hours later. This is just what happens at little league games and you probably signed off a waiver for it so shut up.
Christ when did everyone become such pansy's in this world? I remember tree swings and no helmets for bike riding, no cage's on a batting helmet or making fun of the losers playing football with full gear on. Sure I got hurt and others got hurt but with each broken bone was another story to be told and laughed about, not to be reviled as evil.
I miss those days and now shit like this is just the start to the end of sliding into the bases, no kid of mine (if I ever have any) will never follow a pansy rule like that!
