Today I found out who the greediest fuck in music is and I am ashamed that this just dawned on me today. No it isn't anyone from the Rolling Stones, hell Mick has child support to pay for so he needs to keep working, no it is Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins.


Not only is this new incarnation of the Pumpkins only have of the original band BUT they also decided that if you want extra content your ass is going to pay for it by releasing 4 versions of their new release.  You will get one standard copy,  and three store specific version with an extra song on each (Target, Best Buy and Itunes) so you would have to get 3 copies to get all of the songs and only the Target version has the title track. Also if you buy from Itunes they try to not screw you by giving you a CD of Pumpkins covers by lame ass bands like Panic! at the disco, who in their right mind would want that? Looks like there will be a whole lot of thieving on the internet when this baby is leaked.

of course we should have all seen this coming, the pumpkins have been known to get greedy in the past. They released a B sides Cd after only releasing 2 CD's. The Double sided Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness which had one cd's worth of music, The Aeroplane flies high box set of singles and ZWAN! Billy must go home at night and fuck his money until it gets too stiff and then decides to put out music again.

Sorry Smashing Pumpkins but if I want to spend a little more money on my music, I'll go with the New Pornographers. Better music and a better set of extras for less money!
